How access Lhohi White Sand hotel or Noonu Atoll

To access Noonu Atoll and specifically Lhohi, there are three primary transportation options: speedboat, domestic flight, and air taxi.

1. **Speedboat**:

Speedboats depart from the capital city, Male’, at 6:30 AM from either the MMA (MalĂ© Marina) or Jetty No. 1 (Jumhooree Maidhan). The journey typically takes between 3.5 to 4 hours, during which you can enjoy scenic views of the sea and, on occasion, spot dolphins and yellowfin tuna. You’ll also get a glimpse of how local communities travel by speedboat. If you feel unwell during the ride, they provide bags for vomiting and also offer water bottles, juice, and cake. All boats are equipped with toilets for convenience.

2. **Domestic Flight**:

To take a domestic flight, you'll first need to reach the domestic terminal at Male International Airport. The flight takes around 25 minutes, offering a stunning aerial view of the Maldives. Booking the flight is simple: your hotel will handle the arrangements, and they’ll also provide you with any necessary assistance. After landing at Maafaru International Airport, the hotel will arrange a private speedboat transfer to Lhohi. It’s important to inform your hotel at least 15 days in advance if you plan to fly, as they’ll need to arrange tickets.

3. **Air Taxi** ( Seaplane)

Air taxis are another option, with counters at the international airport to guide you. If you’re staying at a resort, the air taxi will often take you directly to the property. If you're staying on a local island like Lhohi, you may need to hire a private speedboat from the airport to your hotel. Hotels will help you arrange this connection, so it's important to confirm your chosen mode of transportation when booking accommodation.

**Important Tip**:

When booking any hotel in Noonu Atoll, ensure that you share the type of transportation you plan to use, so they can assist with the necessary arrangements.
