Air France to schedule two flights a week to Maldives during Tourism season

  Air France, the French national airline, has announced plans to operate flights to the Maldives for the upcoming winter season. The airline will fly to 169 destinations across 73 countries between November this year and March next year. As per information from a travel industry website, Air France will run flights to the Maldives from December 20 through January 5. During this period, the airline will conduct four flights using a Boeing ER300-700, which has a seating capacity of 342. France ranks among the top 10 countries with the highest number of tourist arrivals to the Maldives, currently sitting in eighth place. According to the Ministry of Tourism's latest data, 40,644 French tourists have visited the Maldives so far this year, making up 2.3% of the total 1.4 million visitors to the island nation in 2023.

Spread out over 71 islands, Noonu Atoll is an administrative division of the Maldives, and it is also known as Southern Miladhunmadulu Atoll. 13 of its islands are populated, and are home to splendid resort hotels.
